Crosby Crosby Crosby Crosby Crosby

Well folks, its true.  Tonight is the first night Sidney Crosby will take the ice since his concussion and subsequent concussion-like symptoms had him sidelined since January.  This is great news for the Pens, and bad news for every other team, especially the Islanders who are first in line to face the re-vamped lineup.  Not only do the Islanders stink, but their coach is pissed at them and now they have to come into Pittsburgh and try and get a road win, something that has eluded them so far this season.  Good luck, boyos.

So what’s gonna happen? There are a few scenarios I see going down:

Skating is hard!

Scenario #1:

Coach Dan Bylsma plays Crosby conservatively and we see that he is playing like someone who just missed 61 games.

Who's this guy?

Scenario #2

On Crosby’s first shift of the night he (much like another notable Penguin) gets an assist and/or goal, sending the crowd into a game-delaying riot.

There was a picture...damn the man!

Crosby, along with Marc-Andre Fleury, Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, and James Neal all have projectile vomits and explosive diarrhea before the game and the Isles get their first road win.

Although the latter would create the most buzz in the hockey blog-o-sphere, it’s the least likely to occur.  Whatever happens, it’s going to be awesome.  It’s going to be great for the Pens who, even without Crosby, are tied for the #1 spot in the Eastern Conference, and it’s going to be great for the NHL to have one of it’s most exciting players back out on the ice.  And gall-dangit! I’m excited.
